Such useless, boring lives. Glad I dont have to kive like that.
Thank you for sharing this amazing good Video 👏👏👏
Thank you 👍
This is voodoo
We had "Inphone" in the UK when modern telephone jacks came in to use, arguably I think ours were/are a better design as they seem to be less prone to having the clip break off, though I understand they were introduced later and as such probably took on lessons learnt from the RJ11 connector.
My wonderful 85 year old grandmother who is my very best friend worked as an operator here in the Galveston/Texas City, Texas area at AT&T for almost 40 years. I absolutely LOVE listening to her stories! It was not an easy gig, especially as a young mom and she worked every holiday. They were very strict on the employees, even taking a bathroom break was a big deal! And missing work just wasn't done. But she loved what she did and is STILL friends with some of the "phone company girls" as she calls them that she worked with to this very day! ❤️ 💜 💕 I would absolutely LOVE to find an old switchboard just so she can show me how it worked. I bet she could remember it like she had just done it yesterday! I'm on the hunt for one, I think she'd get the biggest kick out of it. 😊 She got so good at her job she even learned the sounds each coin would make when someone would put it in the pay phone, so she was able to tell if they were trying to pay less than they needed! So cool to watch how it all used to work. It's amazing the amount of effort that used to go into making a simple phone call! We take for granted now how easy it is to contact someone, even on the other side of the world! It used be an ordeal just to call someone in the next city over. I can't wait to show her this video the time I see her, she'll love it! 🥰🥰
Man I can safely say I type wayyy faster than any programmer in the 80s
wtf i love at&t now thanks for the informational video
NeAT&Tidy. Stop burping on the phone.
What a man!!
Honesty they think we are stupid 😅😅😅😅 i have problem with my samsung galaxy 😅😅 he talks to a space man on the moon 😅😅😅on a land line 😅😅
So this French guy apparently is the only customer the worldwid shipping company has .,ordering his grocery list from America and expecting it there by rocket ship within 24 hours Shipping cost - $25,000
The russians won this BMD race.
Music composer Robert Emenegger is a pretty interesting guy. He worked for Honda for a while then got into independent film making. He did a bunch of super low budget sci-fi flicks around the late 70's to early 80's.
Her mother had to visit her at work? I didn’t know helicopter parents existed in the 1930s!
This made the transatlantic cable obsolete. Progress.
I remember waiting for overseas lines to become available. The girl operator 😆 would tell you we're waiting for a line to open, and you'd hear a sonar ping like sound here and there, till a line was open..."I'll connect you now." Only to talk to an overseas girl operator.
*Look, harvey weinstein's cousin jew is ANNOYINGLY doing an intro to a video of a non-jew scientist to try to deceive people watching. To any that don't know, NO jew was involved in ANY of the ACTUAL SCIENCE.*
*Aside from that pointless annoying jew in the intro (there for no reason other than some corrupt nepotism payoff seemingly), such a great instructional video!!!*
Who decided that they had something better to replace this and many other films in schools.
No mention of the pregnancy test during the medical exam?
Back when there was still hope for the future
That first guy was annoying as hell!
-5 user is a larp
Bell No bell, I'm confused!!
I visited Kodak headquarters on a business trip in the 1980s. On a break we chatted about the future of digital photography. I reasoned that it might replace film. They seemed to think that cameras couldn't ever store enough data for even one or two photos. Now a mobile phone can store thousands of high resolution photos.
My dad used to take me to Radio Shack in the 1960s to purchase replacement tubes for our HiFi and B&W television.
5:00 Just like myself between my desk and the coffee machine.
Just noticed...they thought that we would still use "the yellow pages" to look up businesses and make purchases. Also, a audio phone message that would pop up the drawing - email with an attachment.
A very rare and exceptionally talented teacher.
I love this guy.
"Before a sky scraper goes up, it's got to go down." No, no, please no....
Retired from ATT a year ago, frustrated and tired the company just would not replace defective lines. Not the company of old that took care of their customers.
Thank you Cliff
Just finish my bachelor's thesis. I used entropy to evaluate the noise of my system and end up finding such intrensic properties. At this moment, I realised that the concept of entropy is as deep as the Einstein's E=mc^2 formula
I love the honesty and openess of practical demonstrations
This is so good, even for today's standards.

29:40 LED light existed in the 1950s ! . In 60s called Elecroluminescent Diode
Awesome 👍👍
The scream at 3:44 was an over-enthusiastic cutter cutting his fingers off
The cheesy attempt at rock music. Lol.
Un bijou à conserver pour les futurs intéressés aux ondes. On a envie de retourner à l'école.
